This Work…

Liberty Flidais is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) specializing in somatic therapy. Liberty enjoys relating with people and witnessing growth. She has spent over 30 years studying various embodiment practices and has been creating social justice and movement-centered events since 2010.

Liberty takes a holistic, integrative approach to healing; gently building awareness of the body's learned responses. She fosters a therapeutic container that is empathetic, nonjudgmental, and anchored in the here and now. She highly values curiosity and loves nurturing folx towards emotional resiliency through authentic self-expression.

Liberty takes a “power-with” shape in providing care and unconditional kind regard. She is passionate about sharing therapeutic space with people of all genders, spiritual and sexual orientations, neurotypes and cultures. Being a trauma-informed somatic therapist means that pacing is important and attunement to sensations & emotions is key.

Liberty’s studies and ongoing research gives her a framework in decolonization and collectivist wisdoms, focusing on the interplay between power, oppression and privilege – both interpersonally and systemically.

Liberty’s work integrates Polyvagal Theory, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Liberation Psychology practices with trauma-informed care.
